Cosmic Inflation
Cosmic Microwave Background
Cosmic inflation is a theory that predicts a rapid exponential expansion of the universe after ~10^-38 seconds from the beginning of the universe. Since the inflation gives a hint of the origin of the universe and its ultra-high energy scale is an unexplored region, it is one of the most important research topics in current cosmology and high-energy physics.
Cosmic inflation can be experimentally verified from precise observations of the CNB "B-mode" polarization.
CMB Polarization Experiment
The CMB polarization is observed by millimeter polarization telescopes based on high through-put optical system and high precision superconducting detector array, which is installed at ground, balloon, or satellite.
I'm mainly working on satellite and ground-based experiments;
LiteBIRD, Simons Observatory and Simons Array.
We aim to verify inflation from efficient feedback between ground and satellite experiments.
